Error on extracting file

Postby scott westfall » Sun Jul 05, 2015 6:56 am

I can not install 0.99 version on my Windows 8 machine.

When I extract the file using PKzip I get an error log saying:
0 files extracted
0 files skipped
1 errors/warnings (3)

An executable file is created, but when I run it it gets about 1/2 done when I get a error code 32, which if I'm not mistaken means a file that can't be opened.

Looking at some of the other replies, I downloaded 0.98 and extracted this. I then ran the 0.99 extracted file and it worked. Does seem to be a missing dll

Hi Scott, the latest version is 0.99G which can be found by selecting Help > About. Good news that the Simulator installed OK. With the dll, we did have a dll which was used to email information but it never worked well so we removed the dlls. Now there should just be the SimulatorForArduino.exe file and teh GettingStated.ino sketch in the main directory. We hope you have fun with the Simulator and that it helps speed up your Arduino projects.
