Can I use tabs in the simulator? If so how do I add extra tabs.

Hi Don,

Thanks for your question - I think this may be one for a future version.
At present, the application only handles a single sketch, although includes are obviously available.

hope this answers your question Don.

Kind regards
Adrian

Thanks for the response,

I don't quite understand your answer (patience please).

If "includes" means writing my own libraries, then I'm not there yet!

I received a sample sketch that comprised 4 seperate .ino files, I had to combine them for the simulator. However this makes it awkward to go back and forth between the 2 formats.

What I was wondering was if I could use those files in the simulator:-

Firstly if the same situation arises again.

Secondly I fancy the ability of separating the code, making it so much easier to read, and to separate modules for reuse in other projects.

Can they be "included"?

Regards Don

Hi Don, yes tabs can be included. Just use the command #include "file.ino" and this should include the file.

There is a caution that if the other file.ino has a setup and loop routine, this may confuse the Simulator and the program will not run. We can look at improving this.

Also, the Simulator can now handle up to twenty file tabs. We can increase this later on if needed. Thanks.
